Gross domestic product expanded at a 1.9% annualised from October to December, the Commerce Department said on Friday. That’s a substantial drop from a 3.5% growth rate in the third quarter and below the 2.2% analysts were expecting.
For the full year, the U.S. grew just 1.6%, down from a 2.6% in the previous year.
Stocks and the dollar heading a bit lower after the news release.
