Stocks heading lower in the last trading day of the year after a fairly stable Christmas period.
Needless to say that the Dow Jones Index is kissing goodbye the idea of topping 20,000 in 2016 and trades on Friday morning below 19,800.
Equally, the S&P 500 has lost 20 points ever since the opening bell.
In the currency markets, aside from the flash blast on EURUSD replicated in the USDCHF cross, the pound is now shinning and advancing more than a cent against the dollar and is also strong against other major currencies.
Oil dips bug gold keeps the previous gains.
