Non-Farm Employment payroll sky rockets

Total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 227,000 in January, and the unemployment rate was little changed at 4.8 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported on Friday. Job gains mainly in retail trade, construction, and financial activities.

Both the number of unemployed persons, at 7.6 million, and the unemployment rate, at 4.8 percent, remained unchanged in January.

The number of long-term unemployed remained stable at 1.9 million and accounted for 24.4 percent of the unemployed and the number of persons employed part time for economic reasons also remained steady at 5.8 million.

Meanwhile, the civilian labor force increased by 584,000 in January, and the labor force participation rate rose by 0.2 percentage point to 62.9 percent.

Stocks moderately up, SPX climbs to 2287 and EURUSD trades at 1.076 marginally up too after the news release.
